In June 2026, I traveled to Serbia and Croatia with Apologetics on Mission to spend time with the team at Biblijski Centar Za Apologetiku (BCA), a new apologetics ministry serving the Balkans.

In Serbia, I visited a new studio made possible in part through AoM’s financial support and spent time with local believers. In Croatia, I attended BCA’s first apologetics weekend intensive, where young Christians from different countries came together to learn, ask difficult questions, and grow in their faith despite the tensions that often divide the region.

It was a joy to see these young leaders’ dedication to serving the Lord. Thank you to everyone who prayed and helped make this trip possible!

My Mission Trip Recap

In June 2025, I traveled to Croatia with an Apologetics on Mission team to host a leaders’ summit, support locally led apologetics workshops at a Christian youth festival, and build relationships across the Balkans. At the summit, we gathered with regional leaders to discuss existing resources, apologetics needs, and next steps.

One of my highlights was co-teaching a workshop on the problem of evil and suffering with Dominik. I was encouraged by the thoughtful questions and by how many people stayed afterward to continue the conversation. Throughout the festival, we also spent time hearing young believers’ stories, answering questions, and encouraging their interest in apologetics.

In April 2025, I traveled to Uganda with an Apologetics on Mission team for my first visit to Africa. We partnered with Apologetics Uganda to mentor local ministry leaders, provide technology equipment for their Apologetics Training Center, and celebrate graduates of our international apologetics course.

I taught on biblical sexuality at Kampala International University and at an apologetics conference, and shared my testimony during Easter Sunday worship. Spending Good Friday and Easter with local believers made this trip especially meaningful.

One of my highlights was hearing how apologetics had helped people work through doubts, strengthened their relationship with Jesus, and fueled their evangelism. It was a joy to see their eagerness to learn and to support local leaders as they prepared to equip others.

AoM Team Mission Recap

In June 2026, I joined a Liberty University study trip to Kosovo and Albania for my Integration of Spirituality and Counseling class. Alongside our studies and cultural engagement, we supported a local pastor and church through missions work. It was a humbling opportunity to learn from local believers and see how the Lord is working in this region.

One conversation especially stayed with me. A local believer shared how he came to faith in Christ after spending time with Christians and hearing the gospel. My professor explained that a significant moment came during a Christian-adapted mindfulness practice she had led. Hearing his story encouraged me as I prepare for future work in counseling and reflect on how God can work through moments of stillness, attentive care, and spiritual reflection.

In June 2025, I joined a Liberty University study trip to Scotland as part of my counseling research class. Our trip combined cultural engagement, missions work, and academic enrichment while supporting local missionaries. The program included time with local churches, community service, prayer walks, and opportunities to learn about ministry in the Scottish context. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect my studies with service and cross-cultural learning.

In May 2024, I participated in a study tour of Turkey and Greece through Biola University for my course, Geographical and Historical Settings of the Bible. Through visits to places such as Athens, Corinth, Philippi, and Ephesus, we studied Paul’s missionary journeys, the churches addressed in Revelation, and the world of early Christianity.

The course combined on-site lectures and archaeological exploration with biblical readings, map work, and daily reflections, examining how geography, history, and culture inform our understanding of the New Testament. One of my favorite parts was reading Acts 17 aloud on Mars Hill!

In March 2024, I participated in Beach Reach in South Padre Island, Texas, with the college ministry at Austin Stone Downtown. I primarily served on the van rides, where our team provided free transportation to spring breakers until 3 a.m. These rides were part of the ministry’s outreach to meet practical needs and create opportunities to share the gospel.

In June 2023, I traveled to New Orleans through the college ministry at Austin Stone Downtown as part of its seven-week Summer Discipleship Program. The summer combined biblical and theological teaching, spiritual disciplines, evangelism, and hands-on service.

Our New Orleans trip focused on learning about local ministry and church planting while supporting organizations serving people experiencing poverty and homelessness. The trip included meal service, prayer walks, and outreach, connecting our summer training with practical care for others.
